Software Archeology
The client asked what the field did and we were not sure as it has been a long time. We have had a look and unearthed the field which we believe may be from the early Cretaceous period or possibly even version 3.1. We are fairly sure this is accurate as the field uses the @brontosauros function. We unsure what this fucntion does but imagine it may have something to do with connecting to Lotus eSuite.

Hmmm. Are you familiar with the theory of Punctuated Equilibrium? (in a nutshell, it's a refinement of Darwinian evolution theory, and deals with the problem in Darwin's theory that gradual, uniform evolution just doesn't seem to happen in practise).
I think what has happened is that this application became isolated from it's normal environment when it went across t o the client. In this new environment it evolved in isolation and gained survival advantage with the development of this new field. Perhaps it was the reawakening of a vestigal limb that had long since withered in the parent species.
Anyhow, it has now evolved to a separate sub-species of application.
Perhaps we can get David Attenborough to film it as it creeps up silently to watch the huge Silverback and it's family of Mountain Applications?
it's either Punctuated Equilibrium or crap version conrol I reckon
It is no 10:59 AM, time for the @brontosaurus in your application to explode. Next, on BBC One...
