Shameless re post
Whilst half way thru a bottle of Merlot I stumbled upon an old post that deserved a 2nd (or 3rd) outing.
A self portrait:
BBC2 can do repeats ... why not me?

So part of the USP of Festival Ukes is that the stall at Glastonbury is going to be staffed by people dressed like the Bader Meinhof gang playing ukuleles. Part of the sale is that we will teach each customer how to play "Wild Thing" on the uke before they go.
One of the issues we have is getting a "set list" together, a large proportion of which must appeal to the "Kids". Bear in mind that the Dukes of Uke are heading towards their forties and still don't think that much happened in popular music since the last Clash album.
Now we have a resonable version of "Wonderwall" by Oasis and a bad version of "Fell in Love with a girl" by the White Stripes but need a few more suggestions.
I would like a funk track ...
Anybody got any ideas, please note that that we must have a chance of playing the tunes on ukuleles so most of Marilyn Manson's back catalouge is out I am afraid.
C'mon my lovely blog chums ... . .
